Not sure how common it is but I now have an upper oil pan leak on my 16 F250. Noticed it over the summer but thought it may have been from the very small amount of oil I spilled when I changed the oil. It wasn't and now at 39k warranty is expired but should still be covered under power train. Seems like I trade in about every 3 years and don't pass 36k on mileage so I don't buy extended warranties. Along with the oil leak I've been recently having DEF level issues so I'm planning on having that addressed too. As much as I like the truck which was excellent running and moving stuff from Pennsylvania to Georgia over about 7 months, I'm not liking the issues starting to pop up in only 18 months of ownership.
DEF level issues seem to be fairly common and can mostly be ignored or fixed by waiting until you're 200 miles or less from empty before filling the DEF tank.
Oil pan leaks aren't as common. It's not like that part is new technology.
Didn't take any pictures, but pretty much the whole driver side pan rail is soaked and running down the side of the pan. I'm by the book on filling the def, get the low warning and fill it completely. This isn't the first trip back to the dealership for issues with this truck, rather annoying actually. The gas 14 I had before this was nearly indestructible.
