Delphi Power Steering Pump

Has any one used this pump with the Toyota power steering conversion and hose kit from mid fifty. I was just wondering if I used the correct fitting on the pump. It went in ok but not sure if it is seated good. There was only two silver fittings not marked for steering box.I will not know until I start it. I thought some one has used this and can verify it for me. It isn't tight just mocked up. Thanks.

I have the same setup . If I remember right the fittings are a different thread count. Yes I have the same pump. I do like my setup.

This 'shaped like a canned ham' is the Saginaw P/S pump.

Found on all 1972/79 FoMoCo Passenger Cars with Hydro-Boost and 1975 and later Econolines, plus other auto makers vehicles as well.

Thank you. I like it too and the pressure hose is plenty long enough to route away from the header and the return line is too. I wasn't sure I used the correct fitting.
Thanks NumberDummy, I couldn't think of the name Saginaw when I posted this and your knowledge of parts is always appreciated.

You have to make sure that the pump that you chose has enough pressure output. The Toyota box requires 1100 to 1400 psi to work properly. Delphi makes pumps with a variety of pressures.

If yours is not enough you may be able to drill out one of the ports to increase the pressure. Somebody with Delphi pump expertise should chime in here.

So far what I have found is 1200 to 1350. That is from web sites of people who have bought them from wild horse's web site.

I got a reply from Wild Horse about the pump. He said 2.2 GPM at 1100 PSI. I hope that is enough.
