Worried about my engine!
Every time I start my truck to warm it up, when idling it makes a weird ticking noise. I popped my hood and the sound looks like it’s coming from the belt. Is this normal? It also continues to click when I drive it. Do I need to buy a new belt? I drive a 2002 Ford F-350 Lariat. I want to make sure everything is neat before my emissions test on the 12th so please let me know anything.

The noise your Describing is every other diesel 7.3 that has yet done the hutch mod. Hutch mod is redoing the internal fuel pickup/baffle and installing a filter, pre fuel pump...no CEL/SES and no smoke out tailpipe, nothing to worry about in passing smog then.
. Go to guzzle diesel website and checkout the hutch/harpoon mod...(noise injectors make is air present within the fuel)
