hi all, i'll get right to it. if my driver side glass gets too low you have to help it back up. or pull it out of the door w/ pliers when it gets all the way down into the door. i know its not the switch bc it works when halfway up, weak motor? help!?! oh yeah its a 1993 xlt)
BILLYBOB????? IS THAT YOU CUZ?????
You rwindow sounds like mine was about 2 onths ago....you can get another window motor for it at an aftermarket web site fairly cheap....I had to replace the other side once I saw how fast the drivers side worked. the change out isnt too bad. can do both in 1 day easily.
thanks guys. billybob were probably related somewhere on the tree. how much did jcwhitney cost you? a dealer told me $136 just for the motor and not including labor and all that. also the for the passenger the that window works, but the driver has to lean over to work it. thats not fun. any tips?
The price actually is right along what I paid for the parts..but I installed myself. As for the passenger window working only from that door, I would check the outputs on your drivers door switch when you try to operate the passenger window.
ok i'll do that. some other threads said to remove light **** on dash. u had release tension on the spring? they were a little unclear on where that is located. anybody got anything? -william
arount the same year is right ..and you will see on the metal of the door there is dimple's ..just drill out holes big enough to get your socket in there ,thats the best way to do it ,rather then trying to reach around the inside of the door .if you drill access holes should onley tack you about a hour our so..good luck ,glad to help..
i have a 1993 xlt. w/ 351 5.8L (is it safe to assume its a windsor?)
about 2 weeks ago i had a flowmaster put on w/ 3.5 inch tips. after that i put on a kandn filter. plan to put on headers and 2003 f250 rims (the star pattern) but i dont think they will fit. i like the foxbody too, had one before my truck. it was a four banger though. -william
