I have a 93 f350 I replaced the glow plugs and the controller and it still keeps clicking. The wait to start light is on for about a second and goes off which it doesn’t give it time to heat up the plugs. The new plugs have ohms at .6 on 2 of them and the rest are at .9. If you all have any advice please let me know. I’ve been checking every thread I can find and nothing is fitting what is happening.
GET THEM OUT OF THERE NOW!!!!
autocrap glow plugs are the absolute worst there is out there, and should be against the law to sell to ford owners.
they usually burn out after the first application of power.
and sometimes the tips swell up resulting in having to remove the head off the engine to get the burned out plug out of the head.
you want motrocraft/beru ZD-9 glow plugs ONLY!!
you can get them from rock auto for under $10 each.
sometimes you can find them on ebay for a good deal too.
don't let the auto parts store counter monkey tell you any different, nothing works in these trucks except motorcraft/beru ZD-9 glow plugs.

Thanks! I’ll take them out and get those I’ll let you know how it works out for me.
if you can not let the truck sit until you get the new plugs, disconnect the power going to the glow plug controller and tape the wires off real good.
then use a slight whiff of starting fluid to start it up when cold.
by a slight whiff, i mean like a 1/2 to one second spray in the intake before starting. that should be more than enough to get it to fire up.
the reason for disconnecting power is so if one or two of the glow plugs is still working it will ignite the starting fluid before the engine wants it to and can cause problems.
