Do You Have Sync 3 Non-Nav Wifi Connection??
I have a 2016 F150 302a with Sync 3 (no nav) and the wifi will not pick up any available networks.
I was told by dealer that the wifi does not work with the non-nav unit. Is this true??
Anyone out there with 2016+ Sync 3 (non-nav) and have the ability to detect wifi networks (when in range)??

To answer your question about your 302A configured F150 XLT......Yes, it can pick up WiFi.
Make sure when you go into the settings screen that you have WiFi turned on and you "MUST" be close to an area that`s putting out a strong WiFi signal because the SYNC system needs that.
Do you have and are you using WiFi at your home?
Where are you trying to access WiFi and are those spots secured?
If you`re able to get WiFi via other means and not in your truck, go into the settings screen and do a Master Reset.
Sometimes that`ll help.

Yes to all your questions. I have a strong wifi signal at my house. I have also used my phone as a hot spot and still no response from the Sync 3. The dealer told me that the non-nav units have no ability to pick up wifi. I do find that difficult believe seeing that there is a nav and non-nav updates. I'll try the master reset.

Ohh I know some dealer employees pull info out of nowhere. I did call Ford Service and did confirm we do have a wifi module that works. He told me how to preform a reset on the wifi module only and if the reset did not work then it would need to be replaced. It's at the dealer with this info given to them..

I have a 16 302a non nav Sync3 and my wifi works. Ford service gave the right info and a reset should fix it. If not then you need a new module.
The sales and service folks at dealerships are simply amazing. Just remember that its a job for them and not a passion. It's sad really, dealers used to have amazing employees that loved automobiles and had a passion for driving. Now days it's a numbers game and turn over is higher than a giraffe's crotch.
