I realized yesterday that there is no more regen info on my 2017 as there was on my 2015.
Am I missing something? I've read that others can read the percentage and when the truck goes into regen.
Is there another screen I can enable?
You can activate the display through FORScan or you can ask your dealer service department to turn it on for you. Those are the only ways you will see DPF status.
There is no screen that explicitly tells you a regen is taking place, nor is there a message that tells you to drive until clean. As Gerry said in the above post you can get the DPF % screen enabled. That will tell you how full the DPF is and if you're keeping track of it when it hits 100% and starts counting down in 5% increments you know that a regen is happening.
I think I've seen some of the aftermarket apps show a regen indicator.
I see. I will have to pay the dealer to enable it.
I showed the diesel techs at my dealer how to activate that screen during my initial "free" oil change, and they did it for free. Said it's now a service they can sell to other 2017+ MY owners. Took all of 4 or 5 minutes.

That's happened to me while travelling the interstate, but the regens I've witnessed around town have had minimal if any effect on MPG. When I suspect a regen has started while driving around town, I switch to "Tow / Haul" mode and use the +/- buttons to keep the RPMs higher than usual. If the MPG indicator does show a reduction, it's only about two-tenths maximum. Of course, MPG indicator fluctuation depends on how far you're into the last fill-up. Had one regen occur when I had to shut off the truck, but it continued the regen upon restarting about 15 minutes later. FWIW, my lifetime MPG average (lifetime being 5,300 miles) is saying 17.2.
I had my DPF % display added by the dealer during my last oil change. It was worth the $45 IMHO.
I am not sure of the parameters used during the regen.
During the 1st regen since adding the display, DPF got to 99% while parking my 5th wheel trailer in a campsite. After dropping the 5th wheel, started down the mountain and had to stop for some construction work. At that time it was at 70%, and that is where it stopped.......I may have shut down the engine at that point.....can't remember now.
The next regen started as I was about 3 miles from home, again pulling my 5th wheel. If I had not known it was in regen, I would have shut the engine down with about 90% on the DPF. Since I knew it was in regen I continued to drive around a bit, and it hit 0% when I pulled into my driveway. I did notice that the DPF percentage paused at 40% when I slowed down to take some back roads to turn around.
Knowing for sure when the system is in regen gives the 6.7 driver a chance to thoroughly clean the DPF if practical, instead of a bunch of short cleanings.

Well, Dealer number #1 wants me to print off instructions as they have no idea what to do.
And dealer #2 says they can probably do it but will charge 1 to 1.5 hours or about $200 with taxes.
Anybody have a link to some easy instructions? Maybe I can get this done for under $100 if I can tell them what to do!

To me it is worth spending $29 on the good FORScan adapter instead of paying a dealer for this.
But if you aren't comfortable with that, you can look at the FORScan Spreadsheet thread and ask them to make changes.
