After installing the Toyota box and centering the shaft I install the pitman arm straight down. When connecting the drag link, it turns the wheels to the left. It looks like a drag link 1 1/4 inch shorter would make the wheels pointed straight ahead. Is there a shorter drag link available?
I can install the pitman arm in any position. With the current position of the pitman arm I can turn the steering wheel 1 1/4 turns to the right before the arm hits the rear spring hangar and not much more if it had clearance before the disc brake caliper bracket would hit the king pin lock pin. I can turn it 2 turns to the left before hitting the king pin lock pin. The box is flush mounted to inside of the frame rail so it protrudes as far as it can go. The pitman arm is out about 3/16 inch from the frame rail. Do you know if the turning radius is reduced when using the CPP disc brake kit? Headed out to work on it some more.
did you rub the paint off of the drag link? I have a problem of the tire hitting the drag link on a left turn. I have thought about putting 1/2 spacers between the frame and the steering box. I think it depends on what springs you have. I have the springs that put the axle 1 1/2 " forward.
Pete beat me to the punch. Look on eBay. There's usually one or two used ones there. Can't get remanufactured ones with out a $$$ core charge.
I've got the Toyota setup on one of my trucks and like it but I'd look into the CPP 400 series box. I've got way more involved than their $539 plus shipping price.

Pete, where did you get your pitman arm and does it clear your spring hangar? I bought mine at Midfifty. Mine runs into the hangar, does not clear the outside. Box is centered.
If this helps. Twenty minute job 'if' you have a lathe or know somebody that does. Cut drag link thread both sides left and right thread a sleave two clamps and ya done.....
Although this is a F8 same deal as a small truck. This way the box is centered, steering wheel
centered then, dial in the drag link so the wheels are centered . You may want to check your local
high school shop (if they exist anymore) this is a freshman shop exercise. and it was free.
Then two clamps on the split sleeve.........
