Stock radio w/electric wiper kit
I am in the process of trying to get an original radio to function but then I started to wonder if it will even fit in the dash with aftermarket electric wipers. Anybody shed any light on this subject?
If my truck was here I would look at it but it is still getting the upgrades at my buddy's home shop.
Thanks!

I'd be amazed if it fit. I have aftermarket wipers, and a modern radio in essentially the stock 51-52 location. Very very tight, and my radio is much shorter (front-to-back) that the original radios. But it also depends on which aftermarket wipers you have. Some mount the motor pretty far down with long linkages. Mine has the motor about dead center l-to-r and up high.

Running electric wipers
I installed electric wipers in my '50 and originally had issues with them hitting on the mounting bracket and would stop functioning. I modified the mounting and now they seem to be OK.
As far as the clearance for radio, I also was going to use an original radio in my truck, but found out it would be cheaper to go with an aftermarket USB style. I didn't see any issues with space to accomplish this with the electric wiper kit I used. I mocked up the radio grill in my dash but mounted the radio behind the speaker grill.
