Bolts can be removed from the bed, by cutting and drilling out , if we are talking about the fender bolts. The holes in the bedside are square.
Tks , so what holds the bolts in if you have to drill out , have they a spot of weld?
We have a coach bolt type with a square shoulder which is similar and just pushed in.....
I routinely remove these tacked in bolts when I am prepping a bedside for paint. The easiest way that I have found to get them out is to use a pair of vise grips and grab the threaded end of the bolt a rock it back and forth a couple of times. It will pop right off. Once the bolts are gone, the best solution to mounting the fenders is to use 5/16 hex drive stainless bolts. There are some sweet beveled washers that look great with a flathead beveled bolt (see photo) or you can use a button head bolt with a flat washer.
