Backup Camera?

Anyone installed a back up camera in their dent? I took out the factory air, so I have a 6.25" diagnal vent hole in the middle of my dash that would be a good spot? But I haven't found a 6.25inch back up camera.....5 inch and 7 inch suckers...

Any ideas? Anyone finished a back up camera install on a dent?

Thanks in advance. On my 79 f250 4x4

There is also some talk about replacing mirrors with cameras (L&R external and rear view). A backup camera only works with the transmission in reverse so additional behaviors would be involved when the transmission is in neutral or a forward gear.
I mention this with the thought that once these more capable camera systems become available on new vehicles, we may want to upgrade. Perhaps there is something that we could do today to prepare for that. A bit of future proofing.

I have one but it's intagrated into the flip out LCD radio. The actual camera is super simple. Could you get get a screen that fits your opening and have the rca input from the camera go to it instead of buying a "kit"

Buckin69bronco , it should be pretty simple as you have said. I like your setup with the stereo. I'm guessing a 7 inch screen would cover the hole....but I'd like to see others ideas

There some cameras that can be viewed with an app, whichwould mean you could view it via cell phone even while in drive. I have looked into it but have not ever made any attempts. Be spending too much on other things lately.

I too used the back up camera in the rear view style. After it's all done damn near looks factory. Mine is wire to come on when I start the truck. It stays on until I tap the button on it. I have a big camper in the back and this works well. Plus my truck doesn't have back up lights so what choice did I have. Shows inside and outside temps with compass

Would some of you who have performed this modification post some photos for us to see? I'm sure many of us would like to see the setup TJ (and others) have installed

Looked better when it was centered up. I lost the glue on mount that it came with. Found it last week after 2 years. I repurposed the OEM mount but it does t work. I need to reposition the mirror next time I take the camper off
