Rust on Chrome Tow Hooks

Rust on Chrome Tow Hooks
My chrome tow hooks where they mount to the cross member are rusting. Anyone else see rust where the bolt up to the cross member. Looks like a warranty item based on what mine look like. tks

This has happened on my last 3 trucks.
I use a chrome polish twice a year and the problem seems to be solved. I had a set replaced on the first truck but Ford said the plating is not what it used to be and to use polish.

Not chrome but prep
New guy here. Chrome is only as good as its preppped. Unless the parts are polished at bare metal to the BEST possible finish before the chrome plating is done, it will be like fuel mileage. It will vary. Chrome is only ever as good as the preparation of the surface to be played.
