Information display question

I always had the display set showing the fuel economy. Well last week I went to a friends to help wire his trailer. We hooked up and went through all the checks on the towing display and all seemed fine. Now my issue is every time I start the truck it goes to the towing status screen instead of the fuel economy. I then select fuel economy but as soon as I start it back up it reverts to the towing status. How do I make it stay where I want it? Gets frustrating having to do that every time I drive.....and yes I checked the owners manual just didn't help. Thanks all!

You have to go into the towing section and deselect your trailer. Choose No Trailer. Its a bug.

What has worked for me.. make sure truck is running when you connect and disconnect the trailer. I had the same issue, it was frustrating lol

"Strange?" Must be a bug on some certain models. I've hooked up the trailer plug when running, or not. Maybe 100 times already at that, never once did it not go back.
