Steering Column Swap Question
I tried searching and found nothing. Just got an 89 f150 and the key is broke in ignition as well as actuator and a few other things are wrong. I want to swap another column in. I know its probably a stupid question but I have a 4.9 and wanted to double check that any column from any engine would work. Like I said, stupid, but I just want to be extra careful. Any help would be awesome.

engine size does not matter. columns are interchangeable, 87 to 91 F250, F250, F350, and FSuperDuty.
only thing that matters is automatic or manual trans. you can put an automatic trans column in a manual trans truck, but to put a manual trans column in an automatic truck you will also have to add a floor shifter.
