Stumbled across this beast on craigslist. For you big truck lovers...
1953 Ford C600. All steel cab on 1998 Peterbilt model 330 chassis. 220" wheel base, 8.3L Cummins Diesel 300HP, 9 Speed Roadranger trans. Hydraulic tilt front end. 36" Sleeper from a '78 Kenworth. 9' Moritz Flat Bed. Tow package.
Seller says the built took 5000 hours over a 7 year period to complete. Asking $65,000

That is neat but the bed looks too short compared to the length of the cab and sleeper.
Definitely a lot of work went into it. He just didn't slap a cab, hood and fenders on a different frame. How much work did he do to make the fenders fit? And I think the hood is a cab over hood but look how long it is! And not to mention making a crew cab with 4 doors!

This truck is about 15 miles from me and I have seen it up close. I have talked with the owner several times. He started with a Calif COE and stretched the hood nose and frt fenders. He then filled the original doors and added the rear cab section. He grafted the Pete dash into it and changed a few things to make it look like it belonged there. He mounted the cab on the Pete chassie and the sleeper. He contacted me to build an alum body for it but then changed his mind and went with the steel body to offset the weight on the rear, All in all an interesting truck.

i agree but its a little late for that. Maybe just get rid of the sleeper and get a longer bed.
