1977 F250 4WD's (High Boys)
before serial number Y20,001 have a divorced transfer case and in-cab fuel tank.
1977 F250 4WD's
from serial number Y20,001, 1978/79 F250 4WD's are not High Boys, have a married transfer case, no in-cab fuel tank.
Serial number is the last 6 digits of the VIN

the truck has no vin so the next easyest way to tell is by the gas tank correct? if it has the in cab tank it a highboy/divorced set up
if it has the behind cab tank (non highboy) it has the married set up

the easiest way to tell is to look at the transfer case.
Is it attached to the trans or connected with a short drive shaft.

yeah im going to go look at it on sunday... i was trying to figure it out befor i drove down there but the guys has no idea what he has.
