Hello I am in need of a engine wiring harness for my 1993 f150 5.0.... The only number I found was F3TB-9D930-BC. It is the harness that goes from the dr side firewall to the coil, injector, power steering pump... etc.... has like 30 wires. found one at a junk yard but it only had like 25.... not sure what was missing.... Any help would be great.... only thing stopping my truck from running again... Thanks
You might be able to have a dealership parts person use their e-catalog and find the correct part number for the harness. Make sure you have the complete VIN for your vehicle, include info like engine size, transmission, 2wd/4wd, federal/california/high altitude emissions. Once you have the part number go to your local wrecking yard and start checking the vehicles. Keep in mind that anything newer than 1992 might be a mass-airflow equipped system and the harness for MAF is different than MAP/baro system.
TBH i wouldn't blame the harness for your problems unless you had removed the entire thing from the truck and done a complete and THOROUGH wire check with an ohm meter and a diagram to correctly check pins and their wires. Harnesses don't usually go bad on their own, only likely causes would be physical damage or something shorted and fried some fuses and their wires.
Someone cut the wiring harness because they didn't know how it came apart i guess... I soldered all back together but there was a couple wire that looked the same.. did best I could... got a wiring harness off a running truck in a junk yard in stalled it but still no power to the coil, so I get no spark.....
