2004 6.0 Running Extremely Rough..

Good morning all, here's a little backstory:

Had a lifter take out my camshaft, purchased a remanufactured 6.0 from Ashevillengine. While the engine was out, a lot of things were replaced including:

-oil cooler
-standpipes
-ARP studs
-ICP sensor
-IPR sensor
-Front cover assembly
-FICM Harness
-EGR delete
-All 8 injector o-ring set
-HPOP Gaskets (old HPOP, no STC)
-8 new glow plugs and harness
-#1 & #4 fuel injector

I get the truck back, and i noticed it has an intermittent problem where it starts up and runs like absolute hell, sounds like misfire, truck is shaking, etc. The crazy part is when it started that way, I could immediately turn it off and it would start like normal seconds afterward. I needed the truck for the week to finish some projects, so i decided to run it out. After three days it finally called it quits and the FICM would no longer buzz the injectors, creating a no start. I replaced the FICM power board, it will buzz the injectors again. As of now, it will only start with prolonged cranking and the starter feels like it has to "walk" the engine up to operating speed. When the engine gets going it is in that very rough shaking state as well. When i tested the starter by itself it spins great. The starter is about two months old.

PIDS:

KOEO:

FICM Main : 49.5
FICM Logic : 12.0
FICM Vehicle: 12.0
Voltage : 12.2
ICP Volt: 14.8
MAP : 14.4
Coolant: 67
IA2: 67
EOT: 69.4
EBP: 14.8

When i got it to start in its sluggish state, here's the pids i recorded.

ICP: 4374 (at start) 1000 @ 1000 rpm
Ficm Main : 48.5
Ficm Logic : 11.5
Ficm Vehicle : 13.5
ICP Volt : 23.8
EBP : 22
HPR : 22.3
Voltage: 14.0
MAP: 15.0
EOT : 120 ( before i shut it down)
VGT: 63

DTC's:

P0113
P0407
P0488
P0671
P0675
P1000
P1102
P2288 (Replaced ICP yesterday, thought i cleared this code but it is back.)

Sorry for the long post, if you guys can wrap your heads around it, I haven't found my unique problem online yet
EDIT: Pulled IPR, had three small piece of debris, no tears or indents, replaced screen anyway.

There's a lot going on here

You need to post IPR% With ICP
Also it's probably but typo but ICPV operates from 0-5.0 volts can you verify those numbers you can't have 23+ volts without a sensor error or gauge error
Are you using SGII?

Sounds like maybe a loose connection. Since it's a new harness, I would double check the 2 plugs. I've seen a few guys plug them in thinking they got them in all the way when in fact they didn't. Other than that, I'm at a loss unless it's a damaged o-ring in the HPOP lines.

You state that "you got the truck back"...........from who?
If this was a paid job, then I think the shop needs to make it right.

Specifically look at the wiring and plugs to the MAF sensor and the EGR valve and the ICP sensor.

Monitor v-reference voltage.

Happy Labor Day everyone,

Yes the shop yanked out the engine and replaced it, I was told I would need a new wiring harness soon, but man I didn't think it was THAT soon!

There's a few more things to consider, I have the intake out, so the P1102 Is the MAF disconnected, P0113 IAT1 is unplugged. I can go plug that all back in but I know it won't make a difference. EGR is deleted, I believe that's the cause of 407,488

I had my values wrong on the SG2, corrected numbers are as follows:

KOEO
14.8% IPR
.23 ICPV
0 ICP

Starting/Running
4374 ICP (settled to 1000)
83.8% IPR (settled to 25.0)
2.00 ICV
Somewhere in the ballpark of 650-700 RPM, it will die if no throttle is given.

I will order the engine wiring harness today. I also noticed that after the prolonged cranking, the dash will give you the beep, and only THEN i noticed the RPM gauge doing anything.

I have the intake out, right now so I could probe the ficm for voltage and check the FICM harness, If you think having the air intake out is causing this issue, I encourage you to take yours off and tell me if we have the same problem.

You don't have the intake out, you have the filter assembly off if your just probing the FICM.

So he has the MAF Sensor unplugged ??

Early years are heavily dependent on MAF

And he needs to plug in the egr valve to harness for verification

The truck electronics should be tested close to stock as possible not torn apart
