Hood stuck
I searched the postings in this forum and no dice....
My friend and I both have 2004 SD's and both of us damn near need to pry up on the hood to get it to release the primary latch to get it high enough to reach in and get the secondary.
Does anyone else have this issue and if so, what is the fix....I'm guessing it's something simple, but I have already washed down with brake cleaner and relubed the latch mechanism to no avail.

on my 2006, when i pull the latch in the cab, it feels like nothing happens, but i can pry up the hood enough to release the secondary latch

I had the same problem, I sprayed the hell out of the release handle inside the cab and the latch under the hood with kroil (I'm sure WD40 would work just fine too) and haven't had a problem since. My windshield leaked at one point and everything was a bit rusty and gunked up, I hit it with some kind of penetrating lubricant from time to time for piece of mind.
