Canadian ESP prices?

I've got a little over a month until my F450 arrives. So I'm going to be pricing out the Ford ESP plans. The dealer has already offered me $1,000 off the seven year 100000 km plan. Which would be about $5,800. That seems to be a pile of money for an additional two years of bumper to bumper. And 100000 kilometers is only 60,000 miles. I don't drive a lot though. What other Canadian buyers of these plans paying?

I haven't priced one out yet for my soon to land 2017. I've had maintenance plans on my previous trucks, and I'm thinking I'll pass this time. Only reason being, I haven't been keeping the trucks long enough to make full use of the ESP. It also seems that the ESP's have gone up in price significantly over the last 6-7 years.

I know Canada ESPs are far more expensive but that is crazy to soend that IMO. You slready have a 5yr/60,000 mile trans and 5yr/100,000 mile engine warranty plus a separate safety and emissions warranty. So $5,800 for 2 years and 24,000 miles more of bumper to bumper is ridiculous. I cant even see repairs adding up to that amount that are not engine/trans/emission related.

For some reason that no dealer has been able to explain, we pay double what the U.S market pays.
I know those mirrors are $1500 each in Canada. I cant imagine what a KR massaging seat computer is worth.
Bottom line is I would like few more years of bumper to bumper.
