NO because it starts when you bought the truck. So what you are really getting is a extra year of coverage for $3,200
I would also read the fine print because I have never seen a bumper to bumper ESP from Foed
I have experience with Ford ESP's, I had some chrome pealing on my tail lights and it wasn't covered. I had to replace all four at $100 each. Check EBAY for 12 Taurus SHO tail lights There were lots for sale all with the chrome pealing off. I also had some trim that needed to be replaced and I had to foot that bill also.
Then there is the deductible. You spend $3200 and still have to throw the dealer some cash. Best thing is put that money in the bank an d save it for any repair you may have. Ask yourself why would they give you this money for free. It's all profit. Its a sure bet that you will never have to take it in for a repair and most people never keep there trucks that long. It's not cheap insurance.
The standard warranty on anything covered that is not the 6.7 is 3 year/36,000 miles. It would add 3 years to the electronics, transmission axles, etc. Granted it would only add one year coverage for the engine.
If that price is from the dealer selling you the truck, check Flood Ford or Zeigler online prices for the ESP
Another thing to consider is millage. If you drive it every day miles will add up and you may have time but the miles go over the contract limit. If you don't drive it much and you may run out of time and not hit the millage limit. I have a car that I bought in 06 and wasn't going to drive it much so my bumper to bumper ran out before I hit 50,000 miles. My car only has 17,000 miles on it. Still smells new inside.
Now if you are buying a used truck I would not hesitate to buy the warranty. You never know how the previous driver beat the crap out of it. If buying new than I wouldn't bother with a ESP
I had yet to buy an extended vehicle until I purchased my 2012 F350 with the 6.7. It isn't cheap, but the piece of mind is worth it in this case to me. My brother had a 2011 and he easily paid for it when his radiator leaked and turbo went out. The later years have had improvements, but if you are one of the unlucky ones, it can cost you quickly for repairs. It is all about piece of mind and your risk tolerance.
If you put that money than that is all the piece of mind a person should need. remember on top of the cost of the ESP he still had to shell out money for a repair that is supposed to be covered buy the ESP. Some guys have issues but most don't. If you buy used than I strongly suggest you buy one. If new than big waste of money unless you don't take care of your stuff.

Text doesn't show emotion but some days Bone you raise my blood pressure over nothing and I don't know why, LOL. I ordered mine, I take care of my equipment, I am certain a majority of component failures have little to do with my ownership and just simply didn't get the flawless truck (it was built on a Saturday).
Anyways, ESP Premium (or whatever their new name for it is) is certainly not bumper to bumper but I would assume everyone reads the list of covered components to make an informed decision for their needs. Yes it is a big profit maker for Ford but sometimes ESP does pay off for customers. One option for consideration which is what I did, drive it for two years, evaluate the experience (no repairs, multiple repairs, etc.), and then decide; accepting the $100 after 1 year fee plus possible price increases since I have no desire to buy a new vehicle every three years.
The Ford EXP is like any form of insurance.....we buy it in hopes we never need it. We buy life insurance betting we out live the term length. We buy health insurance hoping we are healthy and never need a doctor or hospital visit. We buy car insurance in hopes we are never involved in an accident regardless of whose fault. ETC
This is why I bought Ford ESP in hopes I never need it but is there if I do need it for "Covered Items/services".
Like The Fram commercial slogan from years ago...Pay me now (ESP), or pay me later (repairs).....

There are guys out there that never lift the hood. Never change the oil check belts hoses or the battery post for leaking then ask where they can get a battery cable . I see it here all the time. Glad you are not one of those guys.
Back to the ESP. Sure you may not have a perfect truck. But why do they charge so much and you still have a deductible? You already are paying for something and still have to pay more. Then you have a problem and guess what it isn't covered. So now what? You now have to pay for a repair on top of the ESP. I got burnt with mine so I took the chance and said no thanks.
I am just stating my experience but if you want to spend the money its your choice. I chose not to buy one for my truck. I wasted my money once on something that when I had a problem guess what, it wasn't covered.

Larry, I bought life insurance to cover of putting me in the ground and maybe leave my wife a little something not a savings account. We are all going to die.
Health insurance we buy that because we do get sick brake bones get cut. Life is going to happen and you will at some time go to the hospital that's guaranteed. The sucky part is we used to not have a copay but now we pay again and again. I guess it's like the ESP
ESP pay me now then pay a little more when you need service.
Spend your money how you want I really have no problem with that.
I have the 7yr/125k mile warranty. My wiper arm assembly broke recently and I paid the 100 bucks. I was told it is a bumper to bumper. I was past the 36k so it was good having it. But of course not emissions as when I bought it, that's what I thought. I was an uneducated consumer. I know better now. If I were to do it again, I would do the 6 year/100k mile warranty.
If ESP fully covered EGR, SCR and the DPF for current prices, that would certainly make potentially losing the money (by never needing ESP) less of a risk in my opinion, if daily driving it. (hypothetical to be clear)
One important detail I need to consider though is I only paid $1,800 for Premium care. The prices today are double so that certainly changes the decision making.
If you decide to buy it get it from Flood Ford its about half price.
I 2nd this. I got zero deductable and added another 4 yrs to factory for 1300 bumper to bumper. I ended up needing 2 new mirrors at almost 1100 a piece. Paid for coverage almost twice by buying it. But never needed it for anything else. Coverage is up and truck still purrs like a kitten. I would not buy it locally from ford. Flood ford was best price I could find by over 60 percent cheaper. This was for esp premium care 0 deductable and free rental.

Jesus, that's a great price. I got boned hard. How many miles and are you stock?
