Low beam headlight help.

Hello everyone new to the forum.

I have googled my backside off on this. Hopefully someone here has the answer.

I went to install led headlights on my 05 150. I installed the drivers side light and adapter. Turned on the lights and the drivers side light stayed on for all of 10 seconds then went out. Fast forward to now and all lights work except for the drivers side low beam. No power to the socket or fuse by way of test light. This truck does have drl's

I can't spend a week and $1000 at the dealer or $1000 throwing parts at it till I get the right part. I can't find the wiring diagrams online that I need.

This is the way I think that this light system works (correct me if I'm wrong). Headlight switch to multifunction switch to drl module then splits to left and right then to fuse box then to headlight housing. Am I missing something? My thought is drl module, but don't want to waste time and money.

Thanks in advance.

The left low beam has it's own fuse in the central junction box, #25. The right side low beam is #23. Both fuse 23 and 25 have a common point in the central junction box. So if you have power to fuse 23 but not fuse 25 then the issue is internal to the central junction box.

See the attached PDF.

That pdf helps thanks.

So how do I get in the fuse block? Does it unbolt and flip it over? It never blew a fuse so I'm still scratching my head.

Here is something crazy #23 fuse has no power. That's for the right headlight but it's the left side that's not working left is always drivers side. #25 fuse has power thats for the left headlight and pass side headlight works fine. So thats swapped some how.

Just to be sure nothing is backfeeding, did you check for power at the 23 & 25 fuse terminals with both fuses out?

I'm absolutely no wiring genius so you may have to elaborate. No I just put a test light on both headlight sockets and on the fuses. Took out and visually inspected fuses then replaced fuse #23 and #25. I also took out another fuse but dont remember which one.

What I meant was to pull out both fuses, then with both out test for power directly on the fuse terminals. Right where each fuse plugs in, one terminal should have power but not the second one. Do they?

I got that. Not sure about the back feeding. No I haven't checked for power behind the fuse. I will tomorrow after work.

Haven't been able to check your recommendation it been raining here past couple days.

With a little more research I'm under the assumption that the fuse box has a circuit board. So if I check the power to that fuse location with the fuse removed and still no power. Is it safe to say that the board is burnt to that fuse? Which will a new fuse box or can the box be taken apart and that circuit fixed?

Yes it's burnt in that situation. You can attempt to repair it, if you can't then replace it. I think they go for around $300 give or take.

Mine is obsolete go figure. Sent 2 emails and 2 bad reviews to the seller and no response. Guess I'm going to find a repair service. I do thank you for your help.
