Sorry to jump in late here guys but wanted to express my condolences to you Texas Southerners. Just got back yesterday from our 12 day rescue operations in Houston. Our Nebraska team of 80 Urban Search and Rescue personnel responded on August 25 to San Antonio only to get diverted to Houston on Saturday the 26th. Total evacuations for our team was approximately 1400 people including a couple of nursing homes. It felt good to be in the right place for what we needed to do. You guys have a lot of drying out, repair and replacement ahead of you. Texas has a lot of pride and I know you will come back stronger than before. Thought I would share a picture at waters edge. I'm on the right.
Dave, what a great thing you just did! Thanks! I was wondering why we hadn't heard any updates from you lately. Now we know why. These 80 guys on your team, were they all local guys or from all over Nebraska.

Guys on the team are from Lincoln and Omaha FD's Abe. There are also Doctors, engineers, riggers, and search dogs on the team. We just added 6 boats a couple of years ago. There are 28 National Teams all with the same components. 17 were at Hurricane Harvey. May be headed to Miami tomorrow or Friday! Truck can wait
Hey Dave,
We really appreciate your help! Shout out to
all the nice folks in Nebraska... You guys also have the
best fans ... wish you were still with us in the Big 12.
