Like I said, only fill the bottle to the minimum line when cold.

10 4. I'm going to clean around degas bottle and remove all white residue. Make sure coolant is only filled to minimum line and see what happens

I usually run mine 1/4" to 1/2" below "new" minimum line. YMMV.

Like mentioned above, a pressure gauge plumbed into the degas will tell the story.

Hey boomer, I definitely like your gopro idea. I thought about that myself but I plan to do gaskets very soon so I haven't worried about it.

Under high boost(over about 20 psi) is the only time my truck pukes. After a bit of puking my temps starts getting picky. They don't get to the point of over heating but they just can't seemed to find a comfortable degree. I'll be running 196 eot and ect. 30 seconds later 209 combined temps. The fan starts working over time.

When you hear someone say "if you can turn a wrench you can do head gaskets", it definitely eases some of the intimidation. I would like to see the gopro vid. Good luck man.

I'm thinking it was over filled. My temps ranges are great. No overheating. I've been to busy to try my go pro. Just started school full-time, work and duck season is right around the corner! Time to work on blinds.

Haven't worried with it lately navistarnut. Been driving old girl like this for months. Been to the lake quite a few times (unloaded other than the wifes 500 lbs of luggage) which is a 1.25 hr drive. As long as I keep a close eye on the coolant level and keep her filled, she's a beaut. I'll be checking on prices for the materials needes for the job and researching very soon. Kinda spooked about it tbh. Thanks for asking.
