Can anyone give me a good reason why ANYONE on the face of the planet would want an old LMC truck catalog from 2005, for a 6.00 starting bid no less? If you don't want the hassle of an auction, you can Buy It Now for 17.00 too! I really think some of these e bay sellers escaped from an asylum sometimes. They are throwing in free shipping, so I don't know, I'm tempted!
There's "one" born every minute and that is a scary thing.
Like the one guy who used to post the rivets to hold the metal data plate to the door on his e-bay page. Same exact rivets you could get from Marti for less than 10 bucks as I recall, this guy was selling "NOS" data plate rivets for 50 bucks or something. STUPID!! I'm sure he sold plenty of them though.
They usually fall into the same demographic: A yard full of junk cars they will never restore, but arent for sale, watches barret jackson and mecum auctions religiously, and feels that since he saw a mint, rust free '73 F-350 super camper special go for 20K at barret jackson, his rustbox pile of crap is worth the same. Usually a graybeard, camouflage baseball hat, goattee and a lot of anger issues.
They sell used windshield trim and NOS seatbelt retractors on Ebay like they are selling diamonds and get pissed off if you dare tell them they are insane.
Deal with these idiots all the time in the restoration arena. The guys who drive the prices up and make it suck for everyone else.
Hail destroyer - gee, and I always thought the millenial kids who watched the auctions and instant-restomod shows and thought it only takes a week for their POS to be pristine were responsible for it all; they're grown up in an internet world where everything is a salable item even if it's a really only collectible to a trash collector. Sarcasm aside: might watch slinging slander and cliches, some of us around here have hit greybeard status and have paid a few dues along the way - too many to listen to that kind of nonsense.

This generalization makes me furious! I never wear baseball hats!

I'll sale what ever I have in the yard, for a fair and honest offer.
I do NOT watch Barret Jackson and Mecum auctions. I generally hate TV anyway, due to anger issues.
I own and always wear a lot of different ball caps, some Ford colored, some times camo. Hunter orange keeps ya from getting you durn head shot off by some idiot.. I even rock a cowboy hat some days.
I have a grey goatee, so that is a 2fer. (graybeard and goatee) I have anger issues, but only towards stupid people that drive slow and talk on the cell phone.

So does that mean the blue truck is for sale again? LOL
I don't see anything wrong with my grey beard or anger issues and the only thing I'm selling is my services and a hard time to stupid people, drunks and dopers.
