Does anyone know which temp sensor I need to change for a P40D code EGR TEMP SENSOR A CIRCUIT HIGH? I need sensor location and part number if possible. I am finding a lot of conflicting information. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Not deleted all stock. My research is telling me it's in the turbo up pipe passenger side I will remove wheel well liner and check. I think I found the right part number I will post it.
Very fragile to remove. Use Kroil or PB blaster a day ahead of time to soften the heat/threads. 1 time deal if you throw a wrench and strip it.
Before you start with tools, spray of course a day ahead, but pull the connection on the harness, make sure it's sanitary and plug it back in. Disconnect your batteries for an hour and see if it returns. There are (I believe 3 other sensors down the line toward your dpf that play the same game.) I'm kinda new to the 6.4 but my 3rd was done (furthest away from turbo on the exhaust (EGT) and I had the same fault.
