Can a air charge temp sensor could make the engine hard to start or in the first 5 sec of styarting engine stumble and black smoke and after these seconds the fast idle comes on and then engine warm up ok idles ok too
I get a code 21 and 33 I change the egr valve and the sensor that goes over it I change the oxygen sensor too The only sensor I didnt change is the air temp one http://www.goingfaster.com/spo/elect...ement_sys.html
doesn't sound like th O2 or IAT (don't these only/mostly matter after the truck warms up?). You may want to check the IAC. I have had dirty ones create similar problems, just be careful claening it if they are like most (are they sensitive to movement anyone?)
Hi again I change my IAC got onr from the scrap yard seems to work ok but I will see tomoorow morning on the first start of the day hope it,s that part heheheh see you
I just changed the IAT in my '96, 5.8L. The only reason I changed it was because the MIL light was on. I didn' notice any differance in the way it ran. I bought a scanner, and pulled a P0113. Ford calls it an air charge temp sensor. Ford wanted $37. for a new one. Seems like a fair price.
