Wax off Plastic Trim

Hey all,

Just got done with a total detail of the truck. I did it in my barn, and thought the new chemical guys stuff I was using wasn't leaving residue on the plastic. Well, when I backed her out into the sunlight. it did. Mostly the black trim along the top of the bedside. I've read all kinds of ways online to get it off, from peanut butter, to pencil erasers. I even thought about using glass cleaner or goof off on a rag. What do all of you say?!

Thanks!

I use a tooth brush in a circular motion. It's worked for me.

Oops, forgot to mention using it dry. Medium bristle.

I've used Mother's Back to Black in the past, worked well. Next time, tape off your trim to avoid this.

I swear by both peanut butter or a large pencil eraser. It works like magic.

+1 for peanut butter.
Now I use Turtle Wax Ice. No residue.

It won't help in your case, but I use painter's tape to tape off plastic parts before waxing. Doesn't take long to do and it saves a lot of hassle later.

That 'bald head' cleaning guy has a white eraser thing that works well but, it wears out fast and you have to buy more.
