Anodized Trim Cleaning

Has anyone found a good way to clean the anodized trim on our trucks?

Soft scrub should work wonders without hurting the finish.

the modern use of git r done was developed in the early 90's by hard working white males who reached a point in their life where they wanted to actually accomplish something in life... instead of getting completely hammered and rebuilding transmissions, the started doing projects that really mattered - projects like fixing the mailbox, cleaning the house, possibly even taking a few loads to the dump. This sudden surge of progress made these men feel good, like they were doing something. So, they had to have a way in their simple minds to reaffirm that feeling of getting something done. Thus, "GITRDONE!" was born. This can be said before a task is completed to motivate them, or after a task is completed to celebrate. It is also used profusely during the process of completing a task for no apparent reason which is very obnoxious and ambient. Often used with a drawn out "Woooooo!" yelling before or after. GITRDONE!

Years ago I moved most of them, to "The Appearance forum" which made the most sense.

That's where all the good threads on this topic are.

I have literally spent the last week reading the so-called anodized threads on FTE. All of them are basically a joke, especially when it comes to removing the anodizing on a grille shell.

Yes Lye works in a small container, such as bezels etc.

Does Easy-Off truly work? That's what people want to know.

The reality of the situation is our trucks (73-79) have a TON of anodized parts, why not ask here and get repsonses here? A LOT of poeple have posted in that APPEARANCE forum and gotten knowhere. Why? Because none of us really hang out there.

I will try the Easy-Off method here soon on a grille shell I just aquired and you know what? The next time somebody posts that question HERE I will respond to it. If they post it in the APPEARNCE forum I won't post. Why? BECAUSE I DO NOT HANG OUT THERE, that's why.

Josh
