2 BBL Carb Linkage
What does the highlighted arm do on this carb? This is for a 69 F100 with a 390 standard transmission. Is it possible this is the High Idle Stop? My pedal connects to the nub that is circled.

It is for an A/T kick down rod. With M/T just let it flop around.

That "nub" is referred to as a ball stud.
