man thats a nice shop, glad your liking your gig!
Thanks foodtruck! please make sure shes a female
Those look great! I like it, I added some of these to the 4 corners of my little bumper pull equipment trailer. Was this just to make running chains easier?
My day today, next couple months gonna suck......
And no cool story to go with it, i tripped/rolled my foot on my own shoes heading to bathroom to pee in middle of night, broke my clutch foot

Damn, Chris, it’s broken? How many bones are broken? hope you feel better soon and heal up quickly.
The new Gooseneck doesn’t have any tie downs except for the stake pockets. I’ve never been a fan of using the stake pockets as an anchor point, there’s always some kind of lateral torque on them. PJ actually makes a stake pocket tie down but each one is only rated at 4000 pounds and cost $20! The ones I made use a 5/8 inch D ring rated at 18,000 pounds, the finished product actually weighs in at 5lbs! LOL. The large D ring does make running chains easier too!
So @KubotaOrange76 , where should I send the possum to? *quickly changes subject*

those should work really nice. I always felt weird about tieing everything down to the stakes when i pulled 48’ flatbed. Then i had a few folks tell me that your supposed to loop your chains around the spools and not the stake pockets? However the goosenecks i hailed did not seem to have the thick spools like the flatbed and weren't welded all the way around. This is a nice workaround i dig it

Heres bubba on a jeep ride
Sous you want some of the meat?
Sure, if it goes bad during shipping we can use it as bait for the catfish.

First of many tows with the 5th wheel this morning. We are looking at over 10,000 miles between now and January of 2022 and are very excited to get back to a normal life.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Eric, there are a few write-ups in the 5th wheel sub-forum with details about disc brake conversions. I considered it a while back, but spent the budget on a boondocking solar setup instead.
I wanted to go with more than just brakes though, heavier axles, springs, hubs and bigger wheels along with the disc brakes. Just depends on how "nice to have" you want to go and how much time you have.
Etrailer has some great kits if/when you get serious about it.

As always, time is not something I have extra of, hense why my 1-2 day truck project is now at a week and a half, which is leaving me tortured cause I want to try out the tune Cody sent me :-)
I will jump over and find those threads.
