Of Dr. Levine, I point to this commentary. Of the Chinese Bat Soup virus, I just wanna shoot every bat-**** stupid moron I see wearing gloves and masks in public. Especially if they're medical idiots, like these morons...

Being intimately involved with the medical community one thing I can tell you is this thing is not a joke. I delivered a prototype to the respiratory therapy division of the hospital today and I can tell you there is some serious pucker factor there right now.
We went from nine patients on vents last week to 43 this week, and we are some of the lowest numbers of positive cases in the nation. Unfortunately, we have an epicenter to our south. Double that number,and we come close to running out of Standard ventilators. Then, on to the emergency ventilators. Then to whatever the hell we can cobble together..macgyver style.
In the words of an article that I’m going to send from a respiratory therapist acquaintance of mine that was pretty cavalier to start with. “Holy **** this ain’t the flu.... “ https://www.propublica.org/article/a...young-patients
Put your questions out there and I’ll try to answer them when I have time.
Read whatever you want to read in the mass media,but if you want to hear from the people that are actually dealing with this crap: this is serious business and this is not as simple as the flu. Yes the debacle of the lack of testing Will skew the numbers. I hope of all hopes this will only be one or 2% but in certain parts of the country particularly like the south that has huge amounts of comorbidities I’m afraid to say I will be shocked if it’s that low. Particularly if people don’t slow the burn and keep it from overwhelming the system. The sheer amount of medical demand of this thing is what is going to kill people when it overloads the system more than anything else.. The stuff hits and it hits hard.
and by the way what those medical professionals are doing is twofold. Part of it is trying to stay healthy to save people like you and the other is they have no idea if they’ve already been exposed and could be giving it to everyone else! Which would make the problem worse.

Since I am an "essential worker", and still have to go from place to place for service calls , I try to wash my hands and sanitize as much as I can during the day and keep a distance from most people if possible. It It still amazes me that when the state is in a supposed lock down, except for groceries etc etc, how many people I see driving the roads, walking dogs, jogging, walking, meandering around shops that are closed.
Just sayin........

I do not think this came from a bat... I have my own theories, but none of that makes any difference right now...
Just for anyone interested...
Italy = 11.7% death rate
Spain = 8.8% death rate
USA = 2% death rate
As I said earlier...
If people don't get serious about this like South Korea did and help mitigate the spread of the virus, our nation will without a doubt be following the death numbers of Italy and Spain. This is not a good chart to be at the top of, but if the Darwin award candidates keep making selfish and stupid decisions, well then Brian is going to be busy for a long time to come.

I don't think anything about it, as it's pretty far out of my wheelhouse, but this guy does..

And a lot of people gave me strange looks and responses over the years when I talked about how I was an isolationist and thought that we should just stick to ourselves over here. So far they've given us this chirus, the emerald ash borer, stink bugs, spotted lantern flies and probably some other things that I can't think of right now. There are very few things that we would need to import from other countries because we don't have them here.

Now now, just cause there was a biotech lab that "researches" these kind of viruses a block or two from ground zero at the wet market dosen't mean it was man made and "accidently" released at perfect timing by a chided Bloomberg associate. That's just right wing conspiracy theories talking.
Wait what's that you say? The Hunter Biden thing was true? Hmmm,...
Nah, still gotta be a rightwing conspiracy theory

OTOH...I am not all that religious of a person but when you start having things like Rachel Levine spearheading your health department it's time for a good cleansing. I haven't heard anything lately but there is supposedly a swarm of locusts of biblical proportions eating its way through the eastern hemisphere as well.

Haven’t had much time to read this thread, however I went to junkyard today and pulled a transmission for this car.
While I was there I looked for injectors to help another FTE’er but they didn’t have Any 7.3’s. I was able to get a transmission for this car and it works fine. I love going to the u pull it, took me and a friend 45 minutes to drop the K frame and remove the transmission. Surprisingly a brake hose will hold the entire frame/engine and tranny off the ground!!! I get a kick from cutting everything attached to the motor with a sawzall, but missed a brake hose.
Since the total cost for a transmission is $155 and I really enjoy going to my local Pick and pull, I am considering starting a thread posting where my local u-pull its are, and hoping others from around the country would post there local yards effectively creating a thread that would advise others around the country of potential places to get parts. Anyone interested in contributing?
Link to to where I went and prices for example.
