Are pick-n-pulls "essential". I mean for society, not motorheads like RideDan. They are clearly essential for him. I am just surprised they are open. The ones in StL are usually packed like a NYC pier.

Another "essential worker" here... i work security at one of the big 3 near detroit. i was letting in contractors to start construction for the day and one of them was shocked i was at work. he was telling me i should be at home because it pays more? ive been so busy with kids at home and dealing with this drama i havnt even looked up unemployment options or self isolating.

Basically i was told unemployment will give the normal % per check on top of 600 a week? so it actually pays more to sit at home?

i still have to look into this because this literally happened 5 minutes ago.

if i have the option of staying home i will. wife is pregnant and has asthma, and i have 5 kids. so time to see what i can find for my area..

Meh, it's all in good fun. I don't think anyone here is panicking, freaking out, or thinking Armageddon is gonna hit. That is what I love about this thread in particular. Thousands of posts and views and ZERO drama. I'll keep coming back as long as that continues.

 

Yes they are open here in NY. Almost all business are open, some have caution tape in front of the store clerks register to keep you 3’ away from them, some have plexiglass between you and the teller, which you awkwardly walk around to hand them money. Get this, Bars are open for take out, I kid you not. Apparently you can take one for the road. Fast food joints are drive thro only as well as take out only at restaurants. when I got on the highway there was no one there to give me a toll card. When I got off the highway there was a person in the toll booth that wrote down my plate number and asked where I had got on, I guess NY will send a bill out to collect there 45 cent toll.

oddly the DMV is closed. ?

 

Yesterday was a good day. The range was deemed essential and the sun was out to enjoy a cold Lonestar while F-35s and F-16s took off behind me. No complaints. 200 rounds of practice and my wife even got to shoot her M&P AR 15-22 while I played with the kiddos. Hope all are doing well on this lockdown.

You have a lot more confidence in people’s intelligence then I have that’s for sure. People around here are like walking thoughtless zombies, just completely lost, no awareness of their surroundings and absolutely no ability to think for themselves. OK that’s my rant for the day, on to bigger and better things.

 

We have a few drive thru liquor/beer stores here.
