Had an opportunity to buy this car (Pontiac G5), it’s in really good shape, never driven in the winter. definitely an upgrade from my rotted puddle jumper. This car needs a transmission, so being a rainy day I decided to get to work. Easy part is done, now I have to figure out how to separate the transmission and engine. Sure not like taking the transmission out of our trucks!

NO, he does not make 494hp and tow anything or even pull a long grade empty.

CAC will allow you to make *more* HP while towing.
I am not doubting the HP, but the manageable EGTs while towing any trailer up a grade? There is just no way....unless those huge injectors are tuned WAY back.

Yeah, a CAC will allow some more HP, but again, I think the EGTs would not be manageable in any way. If I see a live run, I'll digress and eat my words.

I feel it is my duty to share this, almost back to where is should be in my area anyway. your zip might be different? $7.20 a gallon.

https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...sel-engine-oil

Single gallon are still same price as rotella - $14.99 (didnt used to be that way) However if you buy a case of 1 gallon jugs it comes to $8.29 per gallon
https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc/pr...gal-4-per-case

Much cheaper than anything ive seen in years, but considering crude oil prices are what they were when rotella T was 3.99 a gallon.....theres that..

Ive been running traveller since about 2007 in 5.9's, 6.7 ford and dodges, 6.9 fords, and my 300-6's, until recently the price went up and i switched to supertech

Thanks for the heads up! I have been using on my last run because I found 8 gallons of CJ-4 leftover. I will go pick up some today. I am going to do a run of Triax (MAYBE) but this oil is too good at that price to not have some put back in my stash....not hoarding....stash LOL. Actually this oil is good even if ti was still the normal price. I have had great results even under "severe" conditions. I have the UOA to prove it.

Grocery stores in this area have early hours for the elderly and I qualify LOL. My local grocery store has fared better than Costco's and BJ's but there is still some bare space on the shelves. Chicken is starting to make a return (it was scarce just a week or so ago) as are some other items that were sold out. They have limits on several items like TP, meats, water and some other things that I don't remember. I have a big freezer with a lot of stuff in it so I'm not buying much, we're eating older stuff that we have.

In our area too. Usually 30 minutes to an hour before they open to the public. Costco just started it here to be open at 8 am to 9 am for 60 years and older. Going tomorrow. It is Tuesday threw Thursday.

Unbelievable. Especially with the Covid19 in every news report.

Seems like grocery store workers should have among the highest rate of exposure and they basically have zero mitigation in place.

Wonder why they aren’t infected with C19 in high numbers?

I know people that work at fast food here. They are doing waaaaaay above normal volume of business. Apparently still limited TP, meat, dairy, etc at the grocery stores - and way above normal volume STILL.

Florida arrested a pastor for ignoring SIP order and having service anyway - that will be interesting to follow.

States setting up roadblocks and limiting travel if you are from a ‘hot spot’?? You could not have made this up a few weeks ago!!!

morning folks. agreed there are some crazy people out there. a ship pulls in and people flock to the fence for pictures, facebook likes, and instagram posts and tweets. we are simply out of control. another month of crazy times. i have noticed though, fewer and fewer cars on the road while driving to work. it's quieter in the evenings and on the weekends out here. that's a nice change.
ya'll have a good week. we'll check back later on. drive safe!
cheers,
b

Random thought of the morning: I desperately need a haircut and my last DIY attempt was disastrous. We now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

DE is putting the screws to PA residents and trying to keep them out. NY'ers are flocking to PA to get out of their dump and bringing the chirus with them, one of our rural areas is now a chirus hot-spot and our governor won't take any measures to keep them out. My area is 'blessed' with three recently elected Trump, gun and man-hating legislators and I've been asking them what it's like to be locked inside their houses unable to defend themselves on fakebook. Why would you need a gun that holds a 100 magazine clip? Man that line makes me laugh.

The good news is everybody else needs a haircut too so you’ll fit right in!

Because this is what they believe.
