So while still trying to investigate a slight noise coming from my sunroof area, I realized that it's actually the headliner. DID YOU KNOW that our headliner is attached with MAGNETS? YEAH, if you pull down around your sunroof on the headliner, it is attached to the roof with magnetic fasteners. That's where the noise is coming from. I was hunting down the noise thing it was coming from the sunroof track when infact it's the headliner and the magnetic points.
There are small round magnets as well as metal plates. The metal plate is on the interior of the roof and the magnet is on a tab attached to the headliner. They are crazy strong though. Definitely neodymium magnets or stronger.
Neo is the strongest magnet we have on earth. I am curious where they are located as I have messed with this in the past (looking for a mounting point).
Any chance you could snap some pictures before I start pulling on stuff.
I had read about the magnet thing from another poster on here in a thread where he was trying to diagnose a headliner issue. I think it was hanging too low.
