on a stroll thru loews the other day i found flooring made from recycled tires, typically used in utility areas like a weight room floor, it it pieces together like a puzzle and fairly easy to work with. I trimmed away the excess w/offset tin shears[had an extra pair]. it didn't cover the entire cab area but reaches mid way under the seat to where it shown in this pic.
was much less expensive than some other products so i went for it. ill toss the carpet over the top and I'm good to go. original cost, $30 for 12, 12" pieces w/finishing edges and corners. this was an open box for $15,I've paid more for bad meals and felt i couldn't pass it up.
the noise reduction component isn't complete yet, i plan on using fat mat on the roof as well as inside the doors and adding a headliner. Currently any and all noise resonates in the cab area and wanting to cut down on that.
