Question Remote Start Functionality Question

Good day,

When remote starting the car does the AC or heat automatically turn on based on the current climate control settings?

For example, in my 2007 Silverado if the climate control was set to 70* and it's 100 degrees outside it would turn on the AC. If it was 40 degrees outside it would turn on the heat.

Does the remote start system function the same way in the Super Duty?

Thanks.

You can set it to either auto or how you left it set last.

My AC does not come on fully to the last setting until I touch the start button. Then it goes to the last left setting. Appears to work at a low setting until start button is touched. Here in Tucson thats a big thing. A little disappointed in this.

My Platinum came on to last setting prior to entering the truck. It was not a push button start. (2013 F150 3.6 EB Platinum.)

Agreed. In FL I want to get into a cool truck after remote starting it. Remote start just isn't for Northerners.

I would rather get in a truck that is 40c then in one -40c. What is interesting is I find the dash does not show the settings the truck is on until you hit the star button.

Strange, they would be different for the Platinum and the King Ranch. If I leave it on Max Air, turn it off and then Remote Start it will be on at about 1/4 capacity.
When I touch the Start Button it will revert to Max Air again.

Also dash lighting does not come on until the Start Button is pushed on a Remote Start.

Perhaps I was not clear, if you go through the options on the left window of the dash under remote start there is an option to have the hvac do auto or how you left it when the truck was shut off
