Climate operation question

Quick question on how the climate works. I could read the manual, but seeing how I had a 11, 13, and 15, I assumed it should work pretty similar.

Ok, I leave the "On" button pressed on, "Auto" button dial on, and "AC" button on, temp set at 70. That's what I left all the previous trucks at all year long.

I used to hit the remote start button and it always just did what it needed to cool/heat to 70.

The 17 will do nothing if left like this. I waited 20 minutes and even drove for 15 after I got in and nothing.

Tried turning off the "Ac" button and setting temp to 72, still nothing when remote start is used and even after I have got in and drive for 15 minutes.

Any idea what I'm doing wrong? The whole idea behind climate is to leave it set and not have to touch anything.

Any help appreciated.
