Checked the tech folder, what is the secret to replacing the driver side bulb?
Thanks
If memory serves, the best way I found to do it was rotate the round "keeper" and pull the whole assembly out, slide the "keeper" down the wire, remove the clip from the bulb (which can be stuck a bit and kind of a pain), replace in reverse order. Of course I'll have to caveat that with the fact that my hands fit in the hole in the first place....I'm sure there's a name for the "keeper" but I don't know what it is. It's a tight fit, and I think I had to do it all one handed. Certainly was a pain, but no real secret that I'm aware of.
Keep at it... its a frustrating install, but once you get the bulb/"keeper" in you feel it and know it is solid when you rotate both to the lock position.
Well, I got it done, but boy was it tight.
Ford modela, I started removing the battery. I noticed all the bolts and said lets try squishing your hand first. Thanks for the suggestion though.
I tried, and tried, and tried......But was frustrated with all the scratches and pain. Easier way for me was to just get the whole headlight unit out and put it back on after replacing the bulb. Took me less than 10 minutes. I wish they had left a few more inches of wiring on that pigtail.
