2000 mile review
I have had my King Ranch CCLB F350 for almost a month, and just crossed 2000 miles. I have the 6.2 v8 with 4.30 gears BTW. In that 2000 miles, I have a pretty mixed variety of driving. There was one ~400 mile mostly interstate trip, ~600 miles of towing my 30 ft travel trailer (around 7500 lbs) and the rest was to/from work/around town.
Pros:
1. Love the ride/handling.
2. Towing was fantastic for the most part. More than enough power for what I tow and the frequent ups and downs living in the mountains of western PA.
3. Technology is great.
4. Fuel mileage is acceptable. Lifetime average according to computer is currently 11.4.
5. Between my order and delivery, I became concerned about the steering as I saw all these posts about 350 vs 450 steering. I am very happy navigating through parking lists etc.
6. Very happy I went with the 4.30 gears. Unless already going slow, it never downshifted below 4th gear to maintain speed. Very happy with the power and responsiveness. Never felt like I needed more power, and confident in my decision to stick with gas and got go diesel.
Cons:
1. Wish I could fold mirrors in without truck/acc on.
2. I found the downshift/engine breaking to be overly aggressive for my liking. It would hold 2nd gear, and even goosing the gas would not get it to upshift several times. First I dropped it down into manual mode to force the upshift. Then on the way home I forgot to turn on tow/haul mode and realized when it didn't happen and I was trying to see what changed. After then I would just disengage tow/haul when it did it to allow it to upshift. Don't know if there is a setting somewhere to adjust the aggressiveness of this or not, I am going to look into it when I get the chance.
Overall I am very happy and love this truck!

I agree with your "Con" regarding the folding mirrors. Mine is a Lariat but I do not have push-button start. Even if I use the remote start, the mirrors will not fold in or out until I put the key in the ignition........annoying.
