Just put my 2015 F150 on order. It is a Blue Jeans Platinum SuperCrew with the 5.5' bed and 3.5L EB. The easiest way to explain what it does have is to list what it doesn't have:
FX4 Package: Didn't want to carry the weight of the skid plates around as it isn't going off-roading.
Trailer-tow mirrors: The ordering guru talked me out of the larger mirrors.
Heavy Duty Load Package: This simply isn't available for trucks "nicer" than base Lariats.
Bed Stuff: Didn't get the side steps, ramps, extender, or dividers. They can be added later.
Should be in around June 8th, at which point it'll have Line-X sprayed in the bed, a tonneau installed, probably a Retrax Pro. And, they'll tint the front windows to match the rears.
Can I ask what factors went into leaving off the tow mirrors. I have them on my current 150 and really love them for parking and prob going to order a 15 soon and want them again. They are a bit wider for backing into garage but do have a 10 x 8 door so its not too bad.
He asked how often we tow and what we tow. Told him we tow about 4 or 5 times a year, inc an anticipated trip of 2,000 miles round trip to Lake Powell. And, we tow a Sea Ray 23' boat. He said he has a 2014 F150 with the standard mirrors and tows his Chaparral 23' boat, which is almost identically-sized to our boat, and the mirrors do quite well for that. And, according to him, Ford increased the mirror size by about 2" this year, so the standard mirrors will be even better than his 2014 mirrors. However, if we towed daily, or even weekly, or had a huge RV, then he'd recommend the trailer tow mirrors.
But, he said the trailer mirrors will make going through the bank or drive-thru difficult w/o folding them. And, parking in the garage they'll be in the way when you walk by. Further, they'll constantly be a drag and reduce economy. So, if they aren't needed then his suggestion was to pass.
I still have not seen a denim blue in person but love it online. I will order mine with the tow mirrors since I live in California and the CHP ticket if towing without tow mirrors. Since we have other cars I will probably be using ours for towing at least 1/2 the time so they are a no brainer for me.
Congrats on your purchase!
I liked the review, Chad, but disagree on your engine recommendation. You said:
...if you want the best engine, you want the 2.7L EcoBoost. On tap is 325 hp and 375 lb-ft of torque. Yes, that’s less power and torque than the 3.5L EcoBoost, but there’s a significant difference between the two engines; price.
Sorry, but "best" doesn't equal "less expensive" in my book. "Best" is the engine that gives me the power I want and has little, if anything, to do with price since the reason I'm buying a truck is to tow my boat. If price were the decision-maker I'd have stayed with the Murano 'cause it does everything I need but tow the boat.

Otherwise, good review.
Obviously individual needs will vary.
I want to emphasize how good the 2.7L is, even if it isn't what you need/want, because I've seen too many people go way overkill on a truck because they *might* need to tow something someday. I think if people drove the 2.7L they'd be less inclined to go with the bigger engine unless they had a specific towing or hauling need, like yourself.
It's why some people buy F-450s even though if they attempted to tow 31,200lbs they'd need a CDL.
I'm confident the 2.7L is a good engine. And were I not planning to tow 6,000 lbs for long distances with 4 adults and a baby in the truck, along with lots of luggage, I would have considered it. But I did the math (in a spreadsheet) and realized that I needed the Max Tow Package, and that required the 3.5L EB.

I'm sure you will, but be sure to share your experience when you get it. Should be an awesome truck.
Late May is the best guess. But, we are going to be out of town for a week around Memorial Day, so may not get to see it when it comes in. However, that'll give them time to Line-X it, install the Retrax Pro, and tint the front windows.
