It's a 2004 F-250 but I got it figured out. I just counted the splines on the axle shafts. 35 spline - therefore, I have a Dana 60. Am I correct in this?
Yes. A 2004 4x4 F250/F350 would have a Dana 60 front axle.
Dragging up an old thread here. I'm trying to determine if my front axle is limited slip or not. My problem is that the PO had the vehicle undercoated. Props to him because for a Seattle WA area truck it's pretty clean underneath. Problem is that I'm having problems removing the undercoat from the front axle to be able to read the sticker giving me all of the axle info. I've been using WD40 and it has worked up to a point, but I can't seem to get enough off to read the sticker.
Rig is a 2000 F250 7.3 PSD 4x4 4R100 Super Cab Long Bed. I have identified that the ratio is 3.73 and the rear axle is Limited Slip base on the tag information. I cleaned off the area with the stamped on data from Dana:

Would it be common to have a non-LS front axle with a limited slip rear axle? Should I just call West Coast Differentials and ask them to decode it? I don't want to hit the front axle sticker with anything more aggressive for fear of cleaning off the printing. Anyone have a suggestion besides the WD40 I used?
The front axle is an open differential. Very common to have a rear LS and open front, pretty much industry standard for a long time.
I'm not 100% positive but I think the new Tremor for 2020 is the first time Ford is offering a traction upgrade, either locker or LS in the front axle.
Yeah, from what I've read, I'm pretty sure it will be a Dana 50, but I'll take a look at that center section shape to confirm. I know that the covers look virtually the same so you can’t really tell by that.
