This may belong in the Superduty forum...but since I'm already here, and my Superduty does have a 6.0, does anyone know the ID of the power steering line that people put the add on filter in? Also what is the best filter to use for such an application? A part number would be ideal. Thanks in advance for any help.
The Magnefine works great. A filter and magnet in one. I had one for approximately 6 years. Good time to do a flush while your installing it. I used 4 quarts of Mercon V synthetic doing my flush and fill.
The Magnefine filter is an interesting situation. They changed to a less expensive case but the price went up. I have no idea if there were any internal changes.
Thanks guys for the help....I ordered the Magnafine filter yesterday, I think it'll do fine. I'm not experiencing any problems with the system, I am just using the filter as a PM item.
If the pics don't tell the whole story, I can add detail if needed.
No that is all I needed. I knew it needed to be on the return just not sure of the best placement. I just rebuilt my hydroboost, hopefully it doesn’t leak any more. I didn’t find a compromised seal but replaced what I could get to. Thank you!
