Thanx for looking at my post.....
So I just bought this 2003 extended cab f250 super duty with the triton v10 and auto trans today.....
It has been recently vandalized by a bunch of hoodlums....
They took:
Ecm
Radio
Headlights
Air cleaner assembly
All 10 injectors
All 10 coils
Bent fuel rails
Busted passenger rear window
Busted up the steering column and tried to hot wire the truck from under column
Then rats moved in and pretty much destroyed main engine harness.....
So my question is "what all years interchange with each other for ECM's and harnesses and steering columns?"
Here's the truck as of right now......

For the pcm and harness 02-04 are going to be the years that will work but you will need to confirm your truck and the donor truck are both the same emissions specifiacation either federal or California there is a sticker under the hood to confirm this as the harnesses and pcm will be different between the 2. The reason the earlier model year trucks won't work is ford changed from the gem moudule to the vehicle security module (vss) in 02 along with the digital odometer along with some other stuff. And the 99 engine was non pi and had a unique transmission. Luckily you don't need to worry about any of that.

Ok awesome information man...I appreciate it a lot.
So when I find ecm, am I gonna have to get it reflashed or anything to work since it's got the security system (vss)?
Also, how bout steering columns?
What yrs to look for there?
