Craigslist has none like this. I searched nh, Maine, mass, Vermont Craigslist. I have 3 numbers to ford parts collectors and they have none. I searched EBay and found 3 but the sellers want big money. One is 150 but 150 shipping. 2 are over 400. And they don't sell this specific style new anywhere

Does it have to have the FORD stamped on it? Not trying ti be a smart a$$ but beggers can't be choosers. If they aren't out there, just finding a good shape tailgate in general should suffice.
As far as I know there is only one hole in the bottom corner (big enough to fit your finger in), but someone had used some body filler and primed the tailgate before I found it, so there is no telling just how bad it really is until you start sanding it down.
The wet looking spot in the bottom left is where the rust hole is now.
I've a perfect one on my 97, it's even gray. I picked it up years ago for my 89 which has since succumbed to the rust Gods. The 97 is white, and I just picked it up in Phoenix. Tailgate was cool, until I took it off to work on my goose hitch and wiring. It did not take being run over by my skidsteer very well, so I threw the gray one on and figure on painting it. Not for sale, but if you have a later style that would fit my year, I'd swap. This is not the the fancy XLT truck but the plain jane working model. I live in west central MN and this is a farm truck, with a 460 5 spd, Banks full exhaust + a few putzy things. Just an idea since I've got to make mine white anyway...........

you would trade for the ford stamped one? Mines the xlt with the aluminum panel but the panel is rough shape. The gates not rotted but hinges are worn so it rattles around over bumps. And it's ugly orange mixed with thin bedliner. The whole truck was till I stripped it and painted it last month.
The rusty looking spot is only surface. Its not even bulbed rust. And the wet looking spots is because i had put some oil on the bottom inside where they rust to help prevent it
