Hello I have a 1993 f-250 with a 7.3 nonturbo. My belt has been squealing lately. It has always seemed the squeal when it has rained out. But it has been lately squeeling raining or not. It sounded like it was coming from the belt tensioner so I took the pulley off and sprayed it with fluid film (penetrating oil) and it seemed to fix it. Went out this evening while raining and it's back to squealing. The belt looks to be in good shape I have a new one for it should I put it on and see if that fixes it?
Maybe you have some bearings going on one of your accessories. Use a long heater hose with one end in your ear hole and see if you can narrow the squeak location

I can tell you for sure it's not the alternator, ac compressor, power steering pump or water pump that much I know for sure. Is it possible to buy the just the tensioner pulley with out buying the whole tensioner.
Can't hurt. Probably needs a new belt anyway. But i doubt it'll fix it.
Run your engine and lube your accessories one at a time. See if the squeak disappears. THat will help you narrow your search.
Yeah I will put the new belt on. But like I said it was squealing while dry so I took the belt tensioner off and sprayed it with penetrating oil because that's where it sounded like it was coming from and the squeal went away. Then I went out while it was raining and started it and the squeal was back.
