Serpentine belt!
The other day i started up my Bronco and heard a clanging,thought nothing of it then when i went to turn the wheel i couldn't, the belt was off and wrapped in the fan!What would cause a belt to fly off,i just put a new one on and the tensioner(sp) is very good,it has been on there with no trouble for about 1 1/2 months! A friend of mine thinks it might look like the power steering pump pulley looks like it's not on all the way,so he has a tool that will screw into the pump to push it back on! But i don't know if that's it or not so i thought i'd come here to get some suggestions!! thanks

Improper pulley alignment, defective bearing in one of the driven accessories (PS pump, alternator, water pump, ac compressor, etc.), perhaps a defective belt. If routing was incorrect I would think that the tensioner would not be in the center range on the indicator and the belt would not fit.
The power steering pulley is generally flush with the end of the shaft.
