he is looking for Hens teeth....

run A/C... big time power user... my window unit need 6k to start it... I do not run A/C on generator. .. my whole house might use 6k, otherwise.
including Gas furnace with 1/3hp fan motor. and 1/3hp sump pump...

the bigger the generator... the more gas it uses... even with no power being used...
must feed them horses.. even if they are not working... unless you can find a generator with IDLE DOWN option. (RARE)

thats funny.

And true. I've learned a lot about generators in the last few weeks. And I've learned that I won't find what I want. I have to lower my standards.

The home a/c thing is crazy. but I recently learned that my trailer a/c is 1800watts, so I guess I need about 3,000 minimum.

this generator research has certainly gained me some respect for my local power company. By my estimations I'm using 15,000 watts minimum. I don't know...

Good for you, learning is a very good thing.
knowing what "Things" use and need... will be useful most of your life..
and yes.. Startup power is different then running power.. way different.

I did not mean any disrespect... but your wants and needs were not realistic.. maybe NEW.. but used .. best of luck in your search.

I know just how lucky I was to find a used, low hour unit for a good price. and an easy fix. by the way.. that was a 2 year search to replace my old 2k gen... (23 years of service) and still running.

They aren't needed very often, but they sure are nice. The ability to run a few lights, keep the food in the fridge and freezer from spoiling, run a sump pump or well in a power outage...

I have a Generac 20,000 watt home generator that runs off a propane tank. It will not start my 5 ton home A/C unit if my water heater is running or I have the oven on. When I have to run on the generator I will open all the breakers for my larger loads then turn my a/c on and crank the thermostat down so it won't cycle on and off and then I can run anything in my house like normal. From what I've read my 5 ton A/C needs 7-8k watts to run and in the low teens for start up.

You're talking 2 completely different machines for your trailer and house, unless you just want to plug in your fridge and a tv. Maybe a window A/C unit.
