XL prewired for plug and play?

Hello Folks. I was wondering if all the Trucks come from Ford prewired, for additional options? For example if I bought a XL without the trailer brake controller, is there a harness to plug and play if I buy the controller? Same question for the universal garage door opener on the visor.

I've recently realized
I need to purchase another work truck and found a great deal on a Xl, scab with the STX Appearance package and Power group package, but it's missing a couple of features I want. I'm not interested into jumping up to the XLT trim level, because I'm buying a Higher trim level Truck in the Fall for personal use and don't want a 45k Truck and then spend another 70K in a couple of Months. I hope that doesn't sound conceded it's not meant to be.

I was just wondering what add ons are plug and play for the Xl model?

Thanks in advance.

If it was a 2016 and older I would say yes.....but from our experience, we get several xl trucks every year, these new 17 are wired VIN specific.

Best to get a dealer to commit to adding features.

My understanding for the brake controller is the wiring is present but you might need dealer to program computer. You could pop the cubby hole out and look.

My lariat platinum has two bundles of wires detached and glued over at the fuse panel. I suspect with will depend on a few things what is and is not in your truck.

All Super Dutys have these, they are the pass through and high idle, pto, etc wires
