Well, I'm getting alot of long-overdue items taken care of my truck ('07 F350 4x4 SRW V10). One of these is properly hooking up my Tekonsha brake controller so I can pull my 10k trailer.
These trucks--the 2005 to 2007 at least--are prewired for the towing package, with the plugs stowed behind the coin tray. I popped out the tray expecting to see a plug. Instead, I saw two:
When I plug the Ttekonsha in, will all the wiring already in place from the brake controller plug back to the trailer wiring plug at the aft end of the chassis?
Hmmm, it's been a while since I've had my oem brake controller out, I didn't think it had two plugs on it but maybe it does. I added the upfitter switches to mine and pulled out the 1/2 cubby and there weren't any plugs on it. I had to run the harness up to plug them in. That's the only other thing that mounts in that area though.
Regardless, the rest of the wiring is all there back to the bumper - or at least it was when it left the factory. Is there a plug back there? It should all be plug and play to hook up your Tekonsha w/ the right adapter...which plug you use I can't say but I'm sure it's one of them!
